It’s official; I can legally practice medicine in Nigeria. After the series of ‘trials and tribulation’ we were put through. The MDCN induction ceremony was held on the 8th of November, 2016 at the Nigerian Air force (NAF) conference center. The program was scheduled to start at 10am, but like most Nigerian events, it started almost 11am. The hall was occupied by the inductees, the guests, and the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) officials. Each inductee was allowed 2 guests but despite the officials effort to regulate the inflow of people, the hall was full to capacity. Over 100 people were standing by the sides of the hall; some even sat on the carpet-laid floor.
